Carer Positive in Ayrshire and Arran

Milan Senior Welfare Organisation are the latest organisation to become Carer Positive employers. We were able to have a lovely chat with Rukhsana from Milan SWO during an the presentation on Monday about their work in the community and support they have put in place for carers within the organisation. Well done to everyone there on this achievement.

On Wednesday we were joined by employers based in Ayrshire and Arran for our latest Carer Positive workshop. These are always a great opportunity to introduce the Carer Positive award scheme to new employers, as well as getting a range of experiences on how to build support in the workplace and the challenges involved in this.

As you can imagine, every employer we speak to is reporting the changes that have come into place in their organisations as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, but it is heartening to hear that many have taken away positive lessons from this difficult time and these experiences are shaping the nature of their workplace going forward.
