Cultural challenges: caring and supporting unpaid carers

Carers Scotland, in partnership with North Lanarkshire Carers Together (NLCT), invites you to join us during Carers Week for an engaging discussion on Cultural Challenges and Caring.
You will hear from Shazia Amjad, Carer Information and Engagement Worker (Equalities) at NLCT, who will share her lived experience as an unpaid carer and speak about the barriers many carers from diverse and minoritised communities face when balancing caring responsibilities, wellbeing, and employment.
This will be followed by employer speakers, including Carolann Haddow from Circles Network, who will outline their organisation’s approach to supporting carers and will also share their experience of supporting carers in the workplace and their journey to achieving Carer Positive accreditation.
