Fair, Flexible and Future-Proof

A huge thank you to Lynn Houmdi from Flexible Working Scotland for leading yesterday’s online Carers Scotland: Fair, Flexible and Future-Proof seminar. Lynn’s insight into the need for and business benefits of flexible working was invaluable. It was also great to learn more about the Flexible Working Scotland Jobs Board pilot.

Carers Scotland are also grateful to Ciara Miller from Royal London for sharing flexible working policy and, innovative approach to flexible retirement. We were also joined by Fiona Holligan and Sarah Hope-Carter from The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) presenting on their Carers Policy and ongoing use of Carers Passports, and how COPFS’s approach to flex provides certainty and consistency for all employees.

It was inspiring to learn more from our speakers on how supporting carers and embedding flexible working is so closely interconnected, and even more encouraging to hear from employers who are putting these principles into practice within the workplace.
