Disclosure Scotland recognised as Carer Positive

We are delighted to recognise Disclosure Scotland as a Carer Positive employer after recently achieving the Engaged level award.

Patricia Clark from the Carers Scotland team visited their offices in Glasgow on Thursday to present their certificate.

Disclosure Scotland have a wide range of support in place for carers within the organisation, and highlight communicate that this support is available in a variety of ways. 

They also offer carers leave which is more enhanced than that set out by last year's Carers Leave Act, with up to 10 days paid leave available.

Other support offered includes a carers network, intranet pages and wider comms, which provide a definition of what is meant by 'carer' and types of caring circumstances, helping members of staff withthin the organisation recognise themselves as carers. Additionally these resources highlight external information and advice services.

We are thrilled to recognise Disclosure Scotland with this award and look forward to working with them and seeing this workplace support for unpaid carers develop going forward.
