Glasgow Caledonian University reaches Established Level

Carer Positive are delighted to recognise Glasgow Caledonian University as an Established level employer.

The university joined the Carer Positive scheme 5 years ago, and since then have progressed in developing workplace support for carers and raising the profile of carers throughout the organisation.

They now have excellent information pages available for staff on their intranet site, including carer stories, which help others to recognise themselves as carers and seek the support they may need.

Vitally, their Carers Network has played a significant role in shaping awareness and support, including feeding into the Carers Policy. Additionally, messaging around support for carers is embedded in EDI work and management training, which should help with consistency and understanding of carers' issues at all levels within the organisation.
