Get involved with Carers Active Together in 2026

Mar 27, 2026

Take part in Carers Active Together in April 2026!

Carers UK are encouraging carers to be more physically active on 15 April by providing a range of information, resources, and activities, including online sessions, and a walking challenge.

Whilst recognising the challenges that carers may face in being active, the campaign also raises awareness of the physical and mental health benefits of moving more and highlights how carers can be supported to do this.

Carers can access resources, tips, and information about how to balance physical activity with looking after someone.

How to get involved

Visit the Carers Active Together page to find out more and ideas on how to get active this spring.

There are so many ways you can get moving in solidarity with other unpaid carers on 15 April!

You might:

  • try a short activity at home

  • join an online class

  • take part in a local session organised by a partner organisation

  • simply take the time to move a little more than usual

Help promote Carers Active Together

Get involved with Carers Active Together and help us raise awareness of the campaign and benefits to carers of being physically active. There are plenty of ways your organisation can be part of this National Day of Action. We welcome involvement of any kind!

Carers UK have a Best Practice Guide for professionals and partners, which provides lots of background information and ideas. You can also visit our Supporters Area for a range of resources, including newsletter copy and the Social Media Toolkit
