Flexible Working and the Launch of Carers Week 2021
This week our friends over at Flexibility Works released their comprehensive report on flexible working.
Flexible working is a topic that is important to us here at Carer Positive as employers understanding and utilising the varied forms of flex work is something that can really help carers in the workplace. We hope that employers are more open to different styles of working since the Coronavirus pandemic forced so many change the way they operate last year, however there are many different forms of flexible working possible and it is vital to find the right fit for staff and the organisation as a whole in order to get the most out of it.
Flexibility Works have spent months talking to different employers about flexible working and their organisations so if this is something you are interested in bringing in to your workplace as lockdown eases, we suggest you give this report a read. Enter your details here on their website to access the full report.
This week also saw the launch of Carers Week 2021 and the theme - "Make Caring Visible and Valued". June may seem very far away but it will be upon us in no time so now is a great time to start thinking about planning an event. We will have a post dedicated to ideas for Carers Week at your workplace in the near future but in the meantime, why not check out the Carers Week website for more information.
Finally a reminder about the self-register service for carers Covid-19 vaccination. The register and everything you need to know can be found here on the NHS Inform website. The service has already seen a fantastic response so place take a moment to share this on your internal networks, as well as social media accounts to keep our population of working carers safe and protected.
