Two New Awards Presented This Week

This week we were really pleased to present Carer Positive awards to two new employers.

The Scottish Qualifications Authority have displayed a strong foundation of support for carers within the organisation and a recognition of the importance of staff health and wellbeing – particularly during the covid pandemic.  We particularly liked the messaging for staff to ‘do what you can when you can’, providing the flexibility to work around caring responsibilities.

Shetland Islands Council also have a strong basis of support in place with plans underway to establish the working carer focus group discussions, as well as new awareness raising documents and activities.
