Carer Positive Carers Rights Day 2021 Event!

Nov 12, 2021

We have an upcoming Virtual Workshop for Carers Rights Day 2021, happening on Thursday 25th November, 2pm – 4pm!

The full agenda will be finalised soon, however we can confirm opening remarks will be provided by Kevin Stewart MSP, Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care, followed by our own Sue McLintock, Manager of the Carer Positive Awards, to discuss working carers and the Carer Positive Message.

We will then be joined by speakers from Natwest, Police Scotland and Agenor Technology to provide us with insights from their perspective as employers, as well as working carers, who will share their own stories. In addition, attendees will be able to ask questions and discuss strategies that may be helpful for organisations at any stage in building their own supportive working environment for carers.

Registering and Joining
We have had a fantastic response so far and are looking forward to seeing many of you there, however there is still plenty of time to register here on Eventbrite if you have not already done so.

The event itself will be hosted on Zoom so those registered can expect to receive links for the meeting a few days prior to the event.

Carers UK – Carers Rights Day, Supporting Carers at Work
We would also like to highlight Carers UK’s own event which launches new research on supportive employers for Carers Rights Day.

This event will be chaired by Helen Walker, Chief Executive of Carers UK, who will be joined by key members of the Carers UK Team, Barclays UK and the UK Minister for Small Business, Consumers and Labour Markets.

This event begins at 3.45pm so it overlaps with our own workshop slightly, however you should have plenty of time to join if you would like to hear about these new findings. Find out more about this event and how to register your place here.
